Gearing Up For The Beach

I know so many of you are getting ready or thinking about Spring Break. The weather lately has been a bit of a downer. I couldn’t take it anymore and had to make the best of what we have here in Michigan. One day we had sunshine, so I pretended it was warm. I was making a practice run at the beach! Sometimes gearing up for the beach can help your mood. A little laughter always does the trick for me (hence the fact I decided to take a walk to our lake front beach for some sunshine) LOL! I think the neighbors thought I was a little desperate!

I am super excited about Spring Break! Our family is heading to the Dominion Republic to an all-inclusive resort and I can’t wait! I love planning for it! I am gearing up for the beach and have started planning some of my outfits for this trip. Right now, it’s what’s keeping me going through this winter. I hope some of my new favorites help YOU get Spring Break ready!

Beach Gear

One of my favorite things is getting the necessary beach tote. In our family I am the one that carries everyone’s “stuff” when we go on an excursion or to the beach. That means that my bag has to be big enough for all of their extras such as t-shirts, cover ups, wallets and phones to name a few. Additionally, it has to be cute! Mar Y Sol is my new go-to brand, they have fabulous totes that are reasonably priced and gorgeous.  Their products are handmade in Madagascar with amazing craftsmanship made of sustainable materials. The sale of their products helps families gain economic independence and this is something that I fully support.

I also have one of their beautiful clutches that I like to use as a purse on those long beach days or excursions.  I put my clutch in the tote so I have my essentials and personal items with me. It helps me stay organized but without having several purses or bags for the trip. Mar Y Sol also has some gorgeous hats and the one I bought is perfect. It is lightweight and flexible. It is durable enough where it won’t tear if it is slightly crushed during travel or if it is sitting at the bottom of that amazing tote I bought from them!

I love my Corkcicle, it’s my long standing favorite water bottle. I have had this one for some time and use it almost every day! It’s larger in size (I drink ALOT of water) and it is PBA free. The size I am sharing can put an entire bottle of wine in it. I haven’t done that before but I have been told! I also have in my bag Rodan + Fields sunblock and lip balm. They are the best. Next to sunblock, the next important thing is my sunnies! My Ray-Bans are my staples. I love other sunglasses but these are the ones I always reach for.

Relaxing Poolside

The sandals I just got are from Tory Burch. They are my new go-to. I plan wear them with several of my new swimsuits and cover up combos. I can also dress them up for a nicer evening look. Navy is one of those colors I am always drawn to because it is so versatile. When I am traveling I like to find shoes that I can wear at night and during the day. These are perfect for such occasions.
