Green Smoothie! Energy Smoothie With Only A Few Key Ingredients!

This green smoothie recipe is so tasty and good for you!  I know the green color can be a little unappealing but the taste and nutritional value is awesome!  The first time I made this my hubby thought I was going a little too far with the health food and thought I was crazy.  He actually tried it and thought it was pretty good.   It only requires a few ingredients and it is packed full of energy and healthy fats.  Plus it has a low glycemic index.

When starting my day I need something that does not  jack up my sugar and this does the trick.  It has avocados (high in EFA’s), apples, spinach, and coconut water.  Sometimes I like to add a little more apple to my green smoothie then stated in the recipe, which gives it a little more sweetness.  Another variety you can add is a few drops of stevia which is healthy as well.  I will add it is super simple and delicious!  It tastes best when chilled and served immediately!

  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 green apple, unpeeled, cored & chopped
  • 1/2 avocado
