I enjoy having family and friends visit from out of town, I love doting on them. When I was younger I couldn’t wait to have my own place so I could host people. I think it is just “in” me to be a great hostess even if I don’t always have the time, my intentions and heart are there.
Home + Entertaining
My love for hosting people in my home goes way back. I like to make my guests feel special while they are enjoying themselves. Hosting and entertaining can take some creativity. I may not always have the ideas or the time, but I do know where to find great ideas and resources. When I started thinking about my 4th of July entertaining, I immediately thought of one of my favorite places, The Iron Grate, a chic boutique in Fenton, Michigan. They specialize in inspiring creativity and style with unique products ranging from books and home decor to clothing and jewelry. I asked Kirsty and Tara, the owners, to head over and help. I highly recommend this great service they are now offering!
(Adding a little disclaimer here: not everything has to look and taste perfect. Entertaining is about the time and energy you put into relationships that you are building and the memories you are making.)
