I have always lived near water or have had access to water my whole life. Its an easy thing to do if you live in Michigan. I am not sure if I should laugh or cringe but when I was first married with children I decided right away that I was going to learn boating safety and how to drive the boat. It had its scary moments!
A good friend gave me this black bean corn salsa recipe about 17 years ago, it has been such a hit on many occasions and I’ve passed it on to so many people I’ve lost count. The best part is it’s fresh and healthy! After my husband tasted it, he started requesting it all the time. Being the good wife that I am, I made it for him. And I made it. And I made it. I made it so much for several summers in a row I got to the point where I actually couldn’t stand the look or smell of it any more! Lol! I finally mustered up some motivation a few years ago and brought it back to the table. My husband was so excited about it, he actually hid a small bowl in the refrigerator from our guests.
