I love having friends and family over for a glass of wine and visiting. I used to just throw out some cheese and crackers and call it good but I wanted to step it up a notch so I started experimenting with putting together a cheese and charcuterie board. It is fun making it look “pretty” and trying different cheeses and meats. Adding layers and variety is key and stepping outside of the box to try something new is when you make things more memorable. I put together a list of tips to help you have a easy and impressive cheese and charcuterie board.
She Bakes The Heat
Last year I received the coolest greeting cards from a friend of mine. It was an illustration in watercolor of her and her business. It was more than a personalized card, it was a piece of art! I had to ask where she got it and who made them. Patty Sweeney was the artist and I needed to reach out to her because I wanted something a little different this year. You can find her Etsy shop here.
Who doesn’t love fall in the Midwest? It is one of the best times of the year. Football games, pumpkin spice everything, apple orchards, cozy campfires and all of the yummy goodness that goes with it. I have great memories with my kids when they were younger playing in the leaves and going to the orchards. They are in high school now, sniff sniff, and it isn’t the same but at least I still get to do all of the “fall” stuff just differently. I am finding that it is still very enjoyable! So with that said I wanted to share with you some awesome tips on decorating your porch and making it your own. My hope is you will benefit from these as much as I have.
I have to start by saying before I made the decision to start a blog I entertained the idea of opening my own gourmet kitchen store with cooking classes. I knew it was a crazy idea because I had zero retail experience, I am not a very good cook, and I was pretty sure I wasn’t ready for the commitment. It was quickly evaporated after a couple of weeks of thoughtful discussions. Fortunately, my wish to have a local gourmet kitchen store was answered! I heard through the grape vine that Sean Gartland was opening up Feast Gourmet Kitchen Shop. It is a gourmet kitchen store with cooking classes!!! How lucky was I? I reached out to him immediately to learn more.
Stop Struggling and Start Succeeding! These Protein Bars Will Help You Stay On Track To Healthy Living!
I love trying new protein bars because I quickly get tired of some of the ones you buy at the store and some of the versions I have made online taste like, you know, cardboard… This is an older recipe of mine. Years ago my niece gave me this recipe and my family loves it! It is really easy to make, store and eat! We ended up making them on a family ski trip and ate them all week.
