When I first started my blog someone said to me in the industry,”If you’re going to go to one conference I would not miss The Southern C!” I saw it was hosted at The Watercolor Inn at Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. I have heard a lot of good things about Watercolor and thought it was a perfect opportunity to go and explore.
My trip was just a few weeks ago and the weather was very nice and warm. We flew into Destin and it was a short drive from there. The Watercolor Inn is beautiful. Very casual and relaxed. They have their own private beach and the sand is a gorgeous powder white! The rooms are very spacious and great for larger families. Their customer service was warm and friendly. I felt like the area was very safe and apparently it is a great place for teens and families to go during the spring break season. I like the idea because it’s hard to find safe places and locations that have plenty of things to do for teens. You can ride your bike or walk easily from place to place.
The first evening we joined the seaside welcome at the The Fish Out Of Water Restaurant. My gosh, the food was amazing! I had some of the best seafood ever! So well done and fresh and the service was exceptional. The first day of the conference we had our meeting at the Watercolor Lakehouse and it was just a short walk from the Inn. They had shopping and restaurants along the way. We had free time throughout the conference so we spent some time around the pool and the beach. They have paddle boarding, kayaking and other beach sports and rentals. I did not have time to indulge in the Innspa but it sure was tempting.
The last evening we took a short bus ride to The Pearl Hotel at Rosemary Beach. Cocktails and food were served at the Rooftop Lounge. They had entertainment and the sunset was beautiful. I felt very spoiled at this place and I would certainly return. Just stunning. Later after the sunset they took us to Alys Beach at the Caliza Pool! More fabulous food stations and a beautiful pool.
30A area is a great location to visit any time of the year. It truly is a sanctuary because the beaches are some of the best in the world! While I was able to explore some of the area, I would love to go back and see more at this spot. Have any of you ever been? If you have, I would love to hear about your experience!

It sounds beautiful! Maybe someday we’ll visit there. We’ve seen a lot of Florida but not the panhandle.
The beaches are great! I guess a lot of people from Georgia go there in the summer.
