I love perfect hard boiled eggs and now that I have a Chicken Coop I know just how fresh the eggs are! But I hated cooking them until I found the best way to boil them. Time after time, I would follow someone’s tips or trick (sometimes it felt like a trick on me! lol) and I would have an egg undercooked or I couldn’t get the shell off easily. As silly as it sounds, the wives tails are many. Some state that if you have old eggs they won’t cook properly. Others suggest first placing your eggs in cold water then bringing to a boil and you will have a perfectly hard cooked egg. However with this approach, they are hard to peel because the whites fuse to the membrane. The list goes on and on! After years of many failed attempts I found this perfect recipe.
Place eggs in boiling water and boil for 10 minutes.
Once you are done boiling, take the eggs and place into a bowl of ice water bath.
Cover the eggs and make sure they sit for 20 minutes or until they are completely cool. Peel the egg, the shell will slip off smoothly.
You will have perfect hard boiled eggs with no green!

Sounds great, will try for sure!
This is good to know! Most of the time I get easy peel eggs, but not always. I put my eggs in the water then bring to a boil so I’ll try boiling the water first. Ice bath, always, but I’ll be sure to leave them in for a full 20 min. Thanks for the tip!
I think the ice bath is the key! Good luck!
