How to Make a Healthy Berry Smoothie

Through the years I’ve always experimented with smoothies.  Some good and some not so good.  I have also grown accustomed to the taste of healthier foods.  When you eat healthier I learned that you crave less sugars and unhealthy carbs.  I remember when I tried my first healthy berry smoothie and thinking, “you’ve got to be kidding me? But now, I love them!

I finally got it right with this healthy berry smoothie! It is healthy, delicious and packed with superfoods.  Hemp, flax oil, turmeric and coconut water are all great for your body.  To help things move quickly in the morning, I mix the protein powder, hemp and turmeric together ahead of time and store it in a container near my Vitamix.  If you do not prefer flax oil replace it with coconut oil or avocado oil.  Both are tasty and give you great health benefits.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 2 cups frozen berries
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons hemp
  • 2 tablespoons flax oil
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric

Instructions

  1. Blend in Vitamix
