Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar lightly packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 1/3 cups pecans halves and pieces
  • 1 sleeve Pillsbury pastry dough (refrigerator section)

Instructions

  1. Prepare unbaked dough pastry, roll and place in 9 inch round pan. Fold dough under for a raised edge. Flute as desired.

  2. Preheat oven to 375

  3. Combine butter, eggs, brown sugar, salt and vanilla, whip until smooth.

  4. Stir in corn syrup until blended, making as little foam as possible.

  5. Fold in pecans.

  6. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Use the blade of a knife to arrange pecan halves rounded side up.

  7. Bake 40-45 minutes until filling is set.
